"If I could hear my Mother pray, again!"

As we look forward to another day of showing appreciation and love for our Mothers who are still with us or gone on,

I am reminded that my dear Mother took

all we children to church from the time that

I can recall and it was a blessed time.

Mother was blessed with the natural ability

to play the piano and so if the pianist was

missing a service, Mother was more than

happy to fill in for her or him.

We learned early on to enjoy the old hymns

of yesteryear which to me are just as new

as if they were recently composed.

As I have heard it quoted, " We don't like the old hymns

because they are old but because of the message they bring to us"

Looking back on those days, I know that they

created a love of hearing God's music and

singing is so near to my heart and when the

silence is overwhelming, I turn to the messages which are uplifting and my soul soars upward with praise to my Holy Father in Heaven.

With pleasure, may I share one of these hymns which although it be an oldie, also,

will brighten your day as the Chuck Wagon
