My Prayer For Today
When Other People hurt me Heavenly Father I want so much, to strike out at them and hurt them back. But I know retliatoin isn't right and only make the situation worse. The anger escalates and nothing is solved , Help me Lord to do things your way and have the strength not to take revenge. Help me to trust that you will deal with the situation in your own time and in your own way - the best way. But Lord while I'm praying I realize that just restraining my anger really isn't enough , Help me to move toward forgiveness , for in forgiveness I find release from bitterness and freedom to move on in peace. Amen.
To forgive someone is to display reverence forgiveness is not saying the one who hurt you was right Forgiveness is stating that God is fair and he will do what is right.
